In season one of this sexy and suspenseful series featuring international action star Maggie Q in the title role, the charming and deadly Nikita waged a war against Division, the agency that created her. When reporters previously caught up with the actress at the Monte Carlo TV Festival, Maggie Q wouldn't spill many details regarding the series' second season but she did tease that the second season would reveal some of Nikita's past saying, "We are going to finally see some backstory on her because we were actually able to avoid that in the first season. It was incredible how we actually managed to get around that. In the second season we're going to get into it and it's going to be really fun. I mean the stuff that they have planned is great."
Executive producer Craig Silverstein let loose to TV Guide that the sixth episode would feature flashbacks that involve the former agent's biological parents, reveal her days as a junkie, and give glimpse into how she wound up joining Division, "We're going into her origins," teases Silverstein. "She's searching for home and will find one that is unlike anything she ever imagined."
It has been confirmed that episode six of season two will be a Nikita-centric episode, with many flashbacks.

About time we got some backstory for the title character. As long as we don't get 5 back-to-back episodes focused on Alex I'm good because they already almost ruined her for me lol.
